Work has to provide financial profit to a person and at the same time it should give him positive emotions. That’s why we all would like to have a job that will allow us to do what we love, self-develop and self-improve. Поэтому все мы хотим в будущем получить такую профессию, которая позволит нам заниматься любимым делом, развиваться и самосовершенствоваться.
I dream of becoming an interpreter. It is a very interesting and high-paid job that is very promising. Interpreters are often sent abroad on business trips where they can talk to native speakers and learn about other cultures. But it’s never boring even when they escort the delegates from other countries here in Russia during different events.	Я мечтаю о том, чтобы стать переводчиком. Это очень интересная и высокооплачиваемая специальность, имеющая хорошие перспективы. Besides, I like foreign languages a lot. I love studying them and learn how they function. Right now I speak English pretty well but I would like to learn French or Italian and I hope a department of foreign languages will give me a chance to do it. Translators are in high demand nowadays because a lot of companies have contracts with foreign partners. That’s why after you get a degree you can work in pretty much any industry. Поэтому после получения соответствующего высшего образования можно работать практически в любой отрасли.
Some linguists prefer doing translations and they dedicate their lives to it. I think it is very interesting especially if you work with artistic literature. But I believe that books will never replace real life communication between people that’s why I’m planning to find a job at a company where I could be an interpreter.	Некоторые лингвисты предпочитают заниматься письменными переводами, посвящая этому свою жизнь. Такая работа тоже кажется мне интересной, особенно если она связана с художественной литературой. Я хочу рассказать вам о своей будущей профессии. В жизни каждого человека есть две самые важные вещи: выбор профессии и поиск работы. Некоторые школьники знают, чем они собираются заняться по окончании школы, тогда как другие затрудняются ответить на вопрос о выборе профессии. Из журналов и рекламы мы узнаем о широком спектре профессий и затем либо делаем выбор самостоятельно, либо прислушиваемся к совету родителей, которым также небезразлично наше будущее.

Выбор профессии

Выбирая профессию, следует принимать во внимание те возможности, которые открывает перед вами та или иная сфера деятельности. Прежде всего, работа должна быть вам интересна. Во-вторых, вы должны быть уверены в том, что сможете найти хорошую высокооплачиваемую работу после окончания Вуза. Еще один важный фактор, влияющий на наш выбор – это склонность к тем или иным дисциплинам. Следует внимательно проанализировать, какие предметы даются вам лучше, и только потом делать окончательный выбор.

Профессия — переводчик

Что касается меня, то я с детства знал, что стану переводчиком. Мой выбор тесно связан с возрастающей важностью иностранных языков и культур в современном обществе. Иностранные языки необходимы для общения с людьми на планете. Я уверен, что среди всех прочих языков английский – самый универсальный и распространенный язык. Это официальный язык во многих странах. Кроме того, это язык международной авиации, спорта, медицины, язык науки и техники, торговли, культурных и деловых контактов.

Заключение

Я осознаю, что работа переводчика не проста. Вы должны быть чрезвычайно коммуникабельным и ответственным. Более того, вам придется много работать и часто путешествовать. Но с другой стороны, у вас появляется шанс посетить множество стран и встретить интересных людей. Я думаю, эта профессия стоит того, чтобы попробовать. Будучи студентом университета, я буду уделять большое внимание изучению английского и упорно тружусь. Я надеюсь, что сделал правильный выбор.

The matter of choosing a career

I’m going to tell you about my future profession. There are two most important things in anyone’s life: choosing a career and getting a job. Some pupils know what they are going to do after leaving school but for others it’s difficult to give a definite answer about their future profession. We get to know about a wide range of professions from magazines and advertisements and then we make either our own choice or follow our parents’ advice as they are also concerned about our future.

Choosing a career

When choosing a career one should take into consideration all the possibilities that it might provide. First of all, it should be interesting. Secondly, one has to be sure to be able to find a good and well-paid job after graduating. Another important factor that influences the choice of the profession is our abilities to different disciplines. One has to analyze thoroughly which things or subjects he or she is good at, and only then make a final choice.

I want to be an interpreter

As for me, since my childhood I’ve known I want to be an interpreter. My choice is closely connected with the importance of foreign languages and cultures which is growing nowadays. Foreign languages are needed for communication with people on our planet. I believe that among all, English is the most universal and widely spread. It’s an official language in a vast number of countries. Besides, it’s the language of international aviation, sports, medicine, the language of science and technology, trade, cultural and business relations.

Conclusion

I’m quite aware that the job of an interpreter isn’t an easy one. You have to be very communicative and responsible. Moreover, be prepared to work long hours and move around a lot. But on the other hand you’ll have a chance to travel to different foreign countries and to meet a lot of interesting people. I think this profession is worth taking up. Being a student of the University I pay special attention to English and try to work hard. I hope I’ve made the right decision.

Many people from childhood know who they want to become. Most often, when asked about their future profession, children answer that they want to become astronauts, firefighters, actors, doctors. Since childhood, I was sure that I wanted to learn several languages. How to apply this knowledge, I still did not guess. At school we studied languages, and I decided to go to another foreign language course, which was not so common, but the study of which gave me, of course, great pleasure.

My parents were against my going to study at the pedagogical university, because they believed that all educated people should know languages and this is not a serious profession at all. In this matter I had to argue with them. After school, I chose what I liked. They accepted my decision normally, and I was glad that I had acted in my own way, because the choice of a profession would determine my future life path, which I, and not my parents and friends, would have to follow.

The profession of a translator is very common throughout the world. It’s not enough just to learn the courses to become a good interpreter. It is necessary to finish the university and constantly replenish your knowledge, as well as constantly to be in the profession, as the language has the property to forget over time. In our time, the work of translators is facilitated by new technologies, for example, electronic translators, which can be freely found on the Internet.

It seems to me that this profession is very creative, even when listening to the translation of foreign films, one can understand this. If the translator is talented and competent, the film will be much more interesting than when the translator does the work without enthusiasm and does not have a sense of humor. To become a good interpreter, you need to be a fairly erudite person and understand the topic on which the text for translation is written.
